Miyazaki Airport deploys JCV's AI Thermography Device

Date :

Promoting a safe and secure environment through effective inbound temperature screening

Japan Computer Vision Corp's ("JCV") recently-launched AI Thermography Solution "SenseThunder-Mini" has been deployed at the Miyazaki Airport with the aim of providing safe access for visitors upon arriving at "Hinata Miyazaki."

This proprietary solution combines a thermal imaging camera with JCV's original face recognition access control device. It can detect above-normal body temperatures within 0.5 secs. The device can accurately identify partially covered faces (i.e. faces with masks and sunglasses), therefore enabling smooth, safer hands-free access.

As one of the precautionary measures for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, SenseThunder-Mini has been installed in the domestic arrival lobby to perform temperature screening of inbound visitors. No personal data will be stored in this deployment.

JCV is honored to support Miyazaki Airport in delivering a safe environment for inbound access and also to effectively reduce unnecessary manpower. Please be sure to pay a visit to the wonderful "Hinata Mizayaki."

JCV will continue to assist in the promotion of safe and secure building access environments for all industries.
